Holiday Inn, Schermerhorn

Designer: Andres Escobar & Associates, Banyan Consulting

Planning and selecting carpeting for corridors in a large commercial complex often presents a unique set of requirements. In 2015, Aronson’s was given the opportunity to offer our expertise in designing and selecting corridor carpeting for the Holiday Inn, Schermerhorn in Downtown Brooklyn.

We worked closely with the hotel’s various stakeholders including the architect, owner’s rep, and hotel management company to create a design that fit the needs of the space and reflected the aesthetic of the hotel.

The design was conceived in response to the hotel’s particular layout. The goal was to create the appearance of wider hallways while paying attention to the wear and tear factors present in a busy hotel. To achieve the ideal look, we used horizontal lines and excluded of doorway borders for a seamless presentation.

"We enjoyed working with the Aronson’s team to design our carpet. We kept changing our mind on the design and they complied every step of the way to ensure we had the perfect carpet for the hotel. "
