Hotel Ambassador and Spa

Designer: Ali Tayar and Stefan Gerber of GHZ Architekten

Hotel Ambassador and Spa, located in the Swiss Alps, had the first two floors with high traffic areas made over by Ali Tayar and local talent, Stefan Gerber of GHZ Architekten. Marc and Claudia Fassbind, the owners, really liked the Japanese influenced elements of the teppanyaki restaurant and garden. “We gave them an update, then applied a cleaned-up cross-cultural aesthetic to the rest of the public spaces” said Tayar.  The design required durable, but very visual and creative flooring to match the aesthetic of the overall hotel.

They entrusted Aronson’s to create custom printed slip resistant commercial carpeting and matching area rugs with a Japanese raked gravel print, made to mirror the courtyard garden, for the conference rooms and reception.
